1. Trinity Productions (An Interfaith nonprofit learning center) located in Brookfield, CT was awarded $1000 for a program titled, "Back to the Earth". The goal is to connect people who want to garden but have no space to do so with people who have land available for gardening. They provide the people, the land and the resources necessary to create organic gardens.

2. Groundwork Bridgeport located in Bridgeport, CT was awarded $1,000 for an Urban Neighborhood Reforestation Program. The program (which SWEP funded last year) will continue to plant trees each year and build communities of environmental stewards in the process. Groundwork Bridgeport is requesting $1000 to purchase four trees as part of the Pequonnock River/Beardsley Park restoration project.

The Connecticut Society for Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP-CT), an organization of private and public sector environmental professionals committed to sharing their knowledge and enhancing opportunities for women in their fields, offers grants of up to $1,000 to support environmentally beneficial projects.Through this annual program, community-based, non-profit and grassroots organizations are given the means to fund important environmental initiatives that make a positive difference in their communities.
