Committees
The Standing Committees are staffed by interested members. The responsibilities of the committees are as follows.
1. The Executive Committee guides the overall direction of the organization, approving the draft budget before it is presented to the general membership, authorizing payment of bills not included in the approved annual budget, ensuring that all elected positions are filled, scheduling the business and steering committee meetings, and creation of ad hoc committees.

2. The Membership Committee maintains the membership list and mailing list of members and non-members, provides mailing and assistance in general mailings, and produces the yearly Membership Directory.

3. With the assistance of other committees, the Website Committee develops and maintains the website.

4. The Program Committee is responsible for all facets of program sessions including securing the location, arranging for speakers, conducting the sessions, providing information on program sessions and speakers to the Website Committee, and arranges for refreshments at sessions.

5. The Public Service/Community Affairs Committee organizes the annual public service event, develops the grant program and provides information on events to the Newsletter / Website Committees.

6. The Nominating Committee solicits volunteers within the membership to run for office and develop and present the nominations list at the business meeting where the election of officer(s) is to occur. The Co-chairpersons shall appoint the committee members that shall consist of three members with one member being a current or past co-chairperson. Appointments shall be made at the business meeting prior to the business meeting where the election of officers will occur.
