Take this lunch hour as an opportunity for fellow SWEP members and DEP staff to get to know each
other better and learn more about an interesting environmental topic. Mr. Aris W. Stalis, a licensed
landscape architect and LEED Accredited Professional of the BSC Group, will give a presentation on
how green landscaping principles are being integrated into the latest commercial and residential
development projects.
As a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry, Mr. Stalis has 20 years of
experience providing design services to a multitude of public and private entities. His experience
includes numerous projects throughout New York City and New England including streetscape
enhancements, school development and expansion, as well as ecological restorations. He is pastpresident
of the New York and Connecticut Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects
(ASLA), and is currently serving as the Trustee of the Connecticut Chapter of the ASLA. He is also
currently, serving as a Commissioner for the Town of Hamden, Connecticut Natural Resources & Open
Space Commission.
Cost (includes buffet lunch):
SWEP Members - $8.50 (prices reflects actual cost of event)
DEP Employees - $8.50 (prices reflects actual cost of event)
Non SWEP Members- $15.00

Right onto ASYLUM STREET
At second light (State Capitol is on right) turn LEFT onto PEARL STREET

FROM I-91 SOUTH or I-91 NORTH:
Capitol Area Exit 29A
Continue on exit ramp under tunnel to circle
Just after entering circle bear RIGHT (around park – Bushnell Towers will be on your right)
