PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Connecticut Society for Women Environmental Professionals Grant Program provides community based groups with up to $1,000 in funding for local projects that benefit the environment. Grant applications are due March 31, with awards being made in April. Applications can be mailed, faxed or emailed. Any applying group meeting the grant guidelines may also reapply during a subsequent application period, regardless of whether a previous grant was received.

The SWEP Executive Committee will review each application and make awards April of each year. The applications will be judged against the environmental benefits of the project and compared to the other grant submittals. “Environmental benefits” can vary widely and successful applications may include projects that improve the environment, such as property clean-ups or promote environmental education within Connecticut.

Please complete the application, and feel free to include in an addendum any additional information that you feel is relevant to the project. Please feel free to include information on your organization, as well.
