A Mock Negotiation of A Sale of Contaminated Property

Co-Sponsored by CT-SWEP, Connecticut Bar Association Environmental Section, and Environmental Professionals' Organization of CT

Date:  Monday May 20, 2013

Time:  5:30 pm - Networking and Social Hour, 6:30 pm - Seated Dinner and Program

Location:  Courtyard Marriott, 4 Sebethe Drive, Cromwell, CT

Cost:   $45 per person

Please join us for a dinner program featuring a mock negotiation of a sale of a contaminated property, featuring Jane Warren (McCarter & English) and Rachel Rosen (Burns & McDonnell) representing the seller's team and Beth Barton (Day Pitney, LLP) and Kathie Cyr (GZA GeoEnvironmental) representing the buyer's team.  In addition to dealing with the typical negotiated terms (allocation of risk, access, escrow, etc.), these teams will have to modify their strategy to address surprise twists and events during the process - Murphy's Law!  This event promises to be instructive while entertaining and a great networking opportunity.
