The Connecticut Society for Women Environmental Professionals Grant Program provides funding for local projects in Connecticut that benefit the environment. Grants of up to $2,000 will be awarded. Grant applications are due on February 27 of each year. Any application meeting the grant guidelines that is not successful in one cycle may reapply during any following cycle.
The applications will be judged based on the environmental benefits of each project, in comparison to others. “Environmental benefits” can vary widely and successful applications have ranged from property clean-ups to environmental education.
All applicants are expected to include specific measurable goals for projects in their proposals. Grant awards are subject to a Memorandum of Understanding between SWEP-CT and the grant recipient. This agreement puts certain obligations on the grant recipient, one of which is to provide a written report on the results and impacts of the project within 9 months of receipt of the funds.
The link to the application form is below. When you complete it, please feel free to include in an addendum any additional information that you feel is relevant to the project. Information about your organization can also be helpful.
If you have any questions about the Grant Program, or to submit the application, please email Ruth Kennedy.
